Your Love Is Forever – The Kingdom

This truly was a great tune to set as the sound track for my day.

Explore: One of my favourite bands, The Kingdom, has just recently released a new single. Your Love Is Forever not only has great lyrics, but the tune is so catchy.

One morning my alarm went off at 3.55 am and this awesome song was playing. (If you have to wake up that early, this is a great way to be woken!) Not only did waking up to one of my favourite songs put a smile on my face so early in the morning, but also I found it creeping into my mind for the rest of the day.

As I drove to work I noticed I was humming it, as I went for a jog I noticed I was pounding the pavement in time with its beats, and as I cooked dinner in the evening, I realised I was whistling it.

All throughout the day this song had been in my head and I was constantly singing to God, “Your Love is Forever, Your Love is Forever.”  This truly was a great tune to set as the sound track for my day.

Application: The music we listen to has a huge impact on our minds and really can set up the tune of our day.
In Psalm 100 it says to come before God with joyful songs. Unfortunately, my song is not always joyful, and yet, I am called to walk with God every single day.

Having a positive song in my head all day taught me how uplifting a tune can be and was a great way to give God a joyful song even through my mundane activities.

We don’t have to be musicians or poets to worship God, we just need to come to Him with joy in our hearts and a willingness to praise Him for the good God He is.

Prayer: Lord, my heart is not always filled with love and praise. May I be reminded of your goodness today and be willing to give you the joyful song of my life in everything I do. Amen.
