Where Does The Cheese Come From?

In each situation God had made the base product.

1 Corinthians 3:1-9

Reference: “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Explore: I recently had the “God created everything” chat with our three year old. We had just said grace, thanking God for the food, and I decided to explain why we thanked God for our food.

I noticed he had cheese in his meal which he loves. I explained cheese came from milk which came from cows and God created cows.

He was quite taken by this idea but wanted to test its legitimacy. We went through the bread, the wooden photo frame and then the mechanics of a clock!

In each situation God had made the base product. It was a good reminder for me to thank God for being involved in everything in my life.

Application: Then I read 1 Corinthians 3 where people were trying to work out who they belonged to. Paul reminded the people that no matter who they came to faith through, they still belonged to God.

It’s great to have influential people in our lives, but let’s not forget to keep God at the top of our tree. He is our priority and the One we live for, not to impress any other.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the influential people in my life. May I be appreciative but never replace You with them. Amen.

Who has been influential in your life?
