What Is That?

They had never seen the sun look so incredible before.

Psalm 147:1-20

Reference: He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills. (Psalm 147:8 NIV)

Explore: The other day I was driving around town at dusk with a couple of young boys in the back seat. They were amazed at all the different colours in the sky as the sun was setting.

We looked out the back window and noticed that the sun was a golden fire ball hanging low in the sky. “What is that?!” they asked. They had never seen the sun look so incredible before.

It opened up a nice little chat about who made the sun and all of God’s incredible creation.

Application: You don’t have to look far to see God’s remarkable hand at work in our world. The sky declares His wonder; the plants describe His intricate design.

Even scripture screams of God’s creativity. Let’s not forget to take in how great God is. There is beauty all around you that God has designed to bring wonder to our world.

Prayer: Lord, everywhere we look we can see Your handiwork. Thank You for bringing so much creativity into our world. Amen.

Where have you witnessed God’s creativity recently?
