Of course I said yes.

Explore: Four years ago I recorded some 1-minute radio spots. I edited down 50 of my devotions and recorded them at our local Christian radio station.
I was keen for these to play on stations all across Australia, however, my radio contact didn’t really pick them up. We ended up adding them to our website and that’s as far as they went.
Three years later another radio contact heard of my website. When I mentioned I had recorded some 1-minute spots he almost jumped down my throat.
His station was struggling to find female content and he asked whether they could use it. Of course I said yes.
12 months down the track and word has started to spread. Last I heard, eight radio stations have started airing my short devotions and they are now on a file share program for others to access.
It made me laugh to think that something I did four years ago has finally started to be used.
Application: Sometimes things just take a long time to happen. Joseph, in the book of Genesis, was well aware of this.
Two years after one of his fellow prisoners was set free, he finally remembered Joseph and mentioned him to people in authority. I can’t imagine two years in prison went quickly for Joseph, yet he was a faithful leader that whole time.
I can get very impatient at times, but God often brings things about in His own time. This can be frustrating, but I have to trust God knows what is best.
The only thing I can do in the meantime is be faithful and live a life of integrity. That way, when a door does open, I am ready to step through it.
Prayer: Lord, give me patience when it is not my time. May I put my trust wholly in You and Your timing. Amen.
What are you waiting for?
