Various Stories, Same Meaning

I am impressed at the variety of storylines she can come up with

John 7:14-24

Explore: I’ve recently started reading books by the same author. While I am impressed at the variety of storylines she can come up with, I also notice some similarities in all her novels.

The author often uses the same word to describe certain feelings or situations. While they are words I recognised, they weren’t necessarily words I would use in my regular vocabulary.

I almost feel like I now have a greater understanding of her descriptions as I have many different scenarios in which she has used these describing words.

Application: The Bible is made up of 66 books, and while there were numerous writers, it’s amazing how often the same words and meanings come up.

And the more you read, the better you understand what these words mean and how they apply to your life.

While there are numerous writers there is one author, and God’s messages are continually communicated all throughout the Bible. He constantly speaks of love, grace, faith, commitment…

That’s what is so great about reading all of the Bible. While some parts are challenging to comprehend it helps us to continue to build on our understanding of God.

Prayer: Lord, Your word really is a light to my path. May I continue to engage with You through Your word so my understanding of You grows. Amen.

What theme is coming through to you in the Bible at the moment?
