Children don’t seem to understand!
Reference: but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing. (Luke 9:11 NIV)
Explore: Parenting is not easy. There are times when all you want to do is have a little peace and quiet on your own, but children don’t seem to understand!
There is no personal space, no quiet time and no sleep ins. I love them but I can get to a point where I feel there is no me, it’s just them.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s much to love, but parenting is certainly all consuming.
Application: While there are only four children in my household, Jesus had thousands of children wanting His attention. He couldn’t go anywhere without them wanting to hear more and receive more from Him.
And His response? He welcomed them.
It seems even the Son of God was willing to put aside His agenda to care for those He loved. He had made other plans, but they weren’t aware of His personal space.
We’re fortunate God is still like this for us today. There is no matter too small we can’t come to God with.
It doesn’t matter what time of the day it is, or how many times we’ve already called out, God is always there for us.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your love and faithfulness to us, day in and day out. Amen.
Don’t hold back, what do you want to say to God today?
