It still never ceases to amaze me how much undiscovered talent there is in our country

Isaiah 12:1-6

Reference: v.5 “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth. (TNIV Bible)

While there are so many singing competitions on TV at the moment –The Voice, X Factor and Australia’s Got Talent – it still never ceases to amaze me how much undiscovered talent there is in our country.

One day a young lady is teaching singing in her lounge room and the next she is under the lights singing into everyone’s home via their television. One day a young guy is busy in his office job humming along to some tunes and the next day he is being mentored by a musical great.

They had the talent before they graced our screens, we just didn’t know about it.

Application: It never ceases to amaze me how talented God is and how He affects so many lives. The only way I’ll find out is if people make known what He has done for them.

His love and grace is always there, it’s just that we don’t know about it until people make it public. We can often hold back on sharing our God experiences, but He is much more important than a talent contest on TV.

It’s great to see people sharing their singing ability on reality shows, but we have a hidden strength that is not to be kept quiet. Let’s sing out to all the earth how great our God is.

Prayer: Lord, you have hope and love for every person. May we not hold back on what You have to offer, but share it with everyone we know. Amen.

How are you able to share the good news of God with those in your life?
