The Perfect Day

You are only bound by your own imagination.

Psalm 58:1-11

Reference: v.11 Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.” (TNIV Bible)

Explore: A few months ago we started our small group by playing ‘The Perfect Day”.  This is when everyone in the group explains what their ultimate day would be.  The great thing about this game is that there are no limitations.  You are not bound by money, location or routine, you are only bound by your own imagination.  The Perfect Day allows you to dream of your ultimate 24 hour experience.

Application: I have noticed that the writers of the psalms are often people who are dreaming of the ‘perfect day’.  They touch on the challenges that they see or experience in the world but then highlight the difference that God can make to the situation.  He may not have intervened yet but they are declaring the difference God would make for them.  It is like any day where God is involved would instantly become their perfect day. When I think of my perfect day I think of location, food and fun activities and yet my heart should be set more on the power of God and see that any day with God is a perfect day indeed.

Prayer: Lord, we are all so blessed because you are willing to walk with us every single day.  Help us see you in our coming and our going and praise You for all that you are doing in our lives.  Amen.

What is your Perfect Day?
