Tantrums are a given almost on a daily basis.
Reference: “Let us acknowledge the Lord; let us press on to acknowledge him. As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”” Hosea 6:3 NIV
Explore: My boss talks about there being three things in life that are inevitable – death, taxes and cataracts. You could probably add a few more.
As a parent of a two year old, I also have some things that are inevitable in my life. Tantrums are a given almost on a daily basis. Finding food under the dining table that didn’t quite make it from the bowl to the mouth is also something common place for me.
Application: We all have things in our lives that are to be expected. The great thing is that God can also be expected in our lives.
Hosea reminds us that no matter where we are or what we have done in the past, we can expect God to turn up. “As surely as the sun rises, he will appear; he will come to us like the winter rains, like the spring rains that water the earth.”
What comforting words, to know that our loving, gracious God is faithful… Everyday.
Prayer: Lord, each and everyday You are there for me. May I not forget to look for You. Amen.
When have you noticed God’s presence?

Set apart to be a part of the family, by God hmeislf, and its a great honour and privilege. To give away God’s love, to hear the soft voice of the Spirit and obey to fulfill His command. Yes it is so!Many of us Christians are not aware of the purpose God has in us. We go by the routine, practice of dispensing the obligations the church has defined. But, it is obeying the Lord is what is important. Only then can God manifest His deeds on earth. We are His hands and mouth! Set apart!Thank you for this devotional, it’s timely reminder for many of us.God bless you and keep you.
Thanks Hellen, I’m glad the devotional connected with you.
