They can greatly influence people.
Reference: “For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.” Psalm 21:7 NIV
Explore: I was recently reading a book about some young men living in New York. One of the men’s lives was so horrific that I decided to stop reading it.
Even though it was just a novel I felt like I was ignoring the fact that bad things often happen to innocent people. While I know this too well, I decided to keep the book closed as I found it so traumatic.
Stories have power. They can greatly influence people.
Application: Psalm 21 seems to be written about the king. The writer is expressing how much God has done for the king.
How does he know this? He has heard the king’s story.
Through the king telling his story of God’s faithfulness, millions of people have now been reminded of how great God is.
Your story can do that too.
This king’s life was not perfect, yours doesn’t need to be either, but through telling our stories we can express the impact God has on our lives.
Someone in your world needs to hear your story. Don’t hesitate to share it.
Prayer: Lord, You interact with us all in different ways. May we share the stories of love and grace You offer us with the people we meet. Amen.
Who can you share your faith story with?
