Ready For The Sunrise?

It’s the feeling that it brings of a bright day ahead

Psalm 50:1-23

Reference : And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice. (Psalm 50:6 NIV)

Explore: I live in the city, and although I live in one of the most naturally beautiful suburbs in Melbourne, I still can’t see the sun rise.

There is something majestic and almost spiritual about a sun rise. I guess that’s why people take so many photos of them when they see a good one!

A good sunrise is more than just a pretty scene with incredible colours. It’s the feeling that it brings of a bright day ahead, a new beginning and a pleasing start.

It’s like the heavens are showing us what the potential is ahead of us.

Application: It’s no surprise that the Psalms speak of God’s character and majesty by drawing us to the skies. You don’t have to be rich to see God’s sunrise, it’s available for anyone who is willing to look to the skies.

He doesn’t hold it back for those who are unworthy, He doesn’t hide it from those who have turned their backs on Him. God’s sunrise is like His love – free and available to all.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the reminders we have of Your glory. May we never forget how accessible You are to us. Amen.

What does a sunrise mean to you?
