A New Friend
The more time I spend with my new friend the more I see how incredible she is.
Reference: The heavens praise your wonders, Lord, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. (Psalm 89:5 NIV)
Explore: I’ve recently got to know one of the worship leaders at our church. She’s a really lovely person and very easy to spend time with.
We don’t catch up a lot, but every time we do I feel like I learn something else amazing about her.
To begin with it was how friendly she was. The next time I noticed she was incredibly compassionate.
Recently I’ve appreciated her great organisational skills. And just last week she brought tears to my eyes with her angelic singing.
The more time I spend with my new friend the more I see how incredible she is.
Application: This is true when it comes to God too. The more we spend time with Him, the more we learn of His greatness.
Each and every day we could discover more wonderful things about our God. He is gracious and loving, caring and compassionate, dedicated and passionate… and the list could go on forever.
May we never close our minds to the extent of God. Each and every new day we can experience His awesomeness.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being so incredible. Your love and power is overwhelming and we look forward to learning more of You in the time to come. Amen.
