I love spending time with him
Reference: Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. (Psalm 47:1 NIV)
Explore: Our six month old grandson, who lives with us, is just adorable. He watches anything that moves, unless it’s feeding time, then he only has eyes for his bottle!
I love spending time with him and trying to make him smile. He is such a happy boy but I seem to be getting the most smiles from him when I clap my hands in front of him.
I think it must be the combination of sound and movement that brings him such joy, but every time I do it his face will just light up.
Application: Psalm 47 speaks of clapping our hands in praise to God. Complete praise is when all the sound that we make and the movement we do is to bring God glory.
Just like the sound and movement I make brings joy to my grandson, I also need to strive to make my daily sounds and movement bring joy to God.
Prayer: Lord, may the sound and movement I make today bring praise to You. Amen.
What can you do to bring joy to God?
