My favorite thing about eating kale is when I’m actually eating a burrito instead.
Reference: Do not remember the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you, Lord, are good. (Psalm 25:7 NIV)
Explore: I don’t follow many people on Facebook. I only have a few close friends and family on my news feed. But I have made one exception and that is for Jon Acuff.
I’ve never met Jon, in fact he lives in totally different country to me, however, I have read his book and I really like his writing. His posts are usually humorous like:
“They are an animal of prey.” My wife on why the Acuffs can’t get a rabbit. Apparently it’s predators or nothing for us.
I apologize for the jean cuffing trend I started when I was in the 7th grade. I had no idea hipsters would copy me in 2013.

Hehe. Within these funny comments he writes some awesome blogs and posts some pearls of wisdom. Today I read this one:
Think your past disqualifies you from God’s future? Moses the murderer, David the adulterer & Paul the persecutor would disagree.
I love having a good chuckle, but being reminded of God’s never-ending, unconditional grace is certainly a good way to start the day.
Application: The Psalmist was all over the understanding of grace. His writing reminds us of our own failings and hard times, but never forgets the redemption that God brings.
If you think your past is beyond God, then read Psalm 25, read Jon’s post, and then read Psalm 25 again. There is nothing we have done that will stand in the way of God’s grace.
Prayer: Lord, forgive us when we doubt Your grace. It’s because we could never understand forgiving someone who had hurt us so badly. Thank You for being that ultimate example. Amen.
What has God forgiven of you?
