This is a piece of paper that you can take into the exam with you and you are able to write whatever you would like on it.
Reference: v.37 Jesus replied, “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’” (TNIV Bible)
Explore: There are very few people in this world who like exams, and I am certainly not amongst that select group. The only thing that can make an exam bearable to me is something called a ‘cheat sheet’.
This is a piece of paper that you can take into the exam with you, and you are able to write whatever you like on it. Let’s just say that writing out all your favourite nursery rhymes for a physics exam is not necessarily going to be advantageous!
Most people, using the smallest font possible, write on both sides of the sheet any quotes or formulas they might need for their specific exam. During the exam you can look over your ‘cheat sheet’ at any time to assist you with your answers.
Although it is called a ‘cheat sheet,’ it’s actually a legal exam aid to assist you during the assessment.
Application: I’m not sure if you are aware, but Jesus actually gave us a ‘cheat sheet’ for our faith. There are often times when we feel challenged in our faith and we aren’t sure what the correct answer should be.
Jesus gave us our ‘cheat sheet’ notes a couple of thousand years ago and they were recorded in the Bible.
They don’t contain any lengthy names or difficult words. Jesus’ cheat sheet would have these words written:
Love God, Love others.
He wouldn’t have even needed to reduce the font or used both sides of the page for that cheat sheet and yet, this formula should be applied to every single one of our life’s problems.
Prayer: Lord, so often life seems so complicated. May we continually refer back to You, reconfirm our love for You and be committed to love others too. Amen.
What would the cheat sheet of your life have on it?

Linda,
A pastor here in Charlotte NC does a one hour radio program every weekend…http://www.wbt.com/davidchadwick/index.aspx (The David Chadwick Show).
He ends each broadcast with “Love God, Love your neighbor, do those two things and you have a lifetimes worth of work to do”
Great post thanks for sharing!
