In God We Trust

One can make all the difference.

Psalm 25:1-22

Reference: “In you, Lord my God, I put my trust.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭25:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Explore: Did you ever play trust games in youth group or as a team building activity? This was when you were put in a tricky situation and, unless you trusted the other people in your group, you would not be able to complete the task.

I found that if there was at least one person I trusted in the whole group, I had more faith in completing the task. But if everyone was unknown to me it was hard to predict what the result would be.

One can make all the difference.

Application: When it comes to my faith I can easily say “I trust in God”. However, when the task ahead of me seems too great, my true feelings start to show.

I begin by relying on my own strength. When that fails I look around me to find someone greater than me to help.

What I often forget is that I have access to the greatest power in the whole universe. To truly trust in God is to look to Him for strength when challenges come.

Psalm 25 is a great reminder of whom it is we really trust when we put our faith in God. Let’s turn to Him first.

Prayer: Lord, forgive me when I trust in myself before relying on You. May I be reminded of Your great faithfulness today. Amen.

What do you need to trust in God for today?
