How Old Are You?

Age can be limiting at different times of our lives.

Psalm 148:1-14

Reference: “young men and women, old men and children.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭148:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Explore: In the season of life I am in I get the privilege of visiting lots of playgrounds! Some pieces of equipment are restricted for those 5 years old and under, where others are more suited for those under 12.

When we go out for dinner there are certain areas in the hotel where children are not allowed. In fact, you need to be over 18 in Australia to be in a bar and served alcohol.

The age restrictions get a little blurry in the middle years, but once you hit 65 you can get a seniors card for discounts and move into a retirement village, but you’re limited in the types of extreme sports you can participate in. Age can be limiting at different times of our lives.

Application: Not when it comes to worship! It doesn’t matter what your age, gender or race, everyone can praise the Lord.

The last bracket of Psalms we read in the Bible are all about praising God. We don’t have to wait until we are old enough, or ever retire from praising God. We can worship Him at all times.

Let’s not allow the restrictions of our world to regulate how and when we worship God. As long as He is alive, we can worship Him!

Prayer: Praise You Lord! In the quiet of the morning and in the busyness of the noonday, may we give our worship to You and You alone. Amen.

How will you worship God today?
