How Do You Feel

No two people are feeling exactly the same.

Psalm 70:1-5

Reference: v.4 But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you;
may those who long for your saving help always say, “The Lord is great!” (TNIV Bible)

Explore: Whenever you are with a group of people it doesn’t take long to realize that you all feel different emotions.  Some people might have experienced one of the hardest weeks of their lives where someone might be really ready to celebrate and great success.  No two people are feeling exactly the same.  Just imagine how many emotions there would be in a room full of people at a church service.  Everyone is feeling something different and yet they have all come to connect with God.  I guess that’s the beautiful thing that unites them all – their connection to God.

Application: I find it a real privilege to be in church with other people who are really switched on to connecting with God.  They might be clapping their hands and singing loudly or they might have their heads bowed and humbly praying.  However people connect best with God it is great to all be together to proclaim that ‘The Lord is great’.  No matter how we are feeling or what we have been through we can bring that all to our Lord and still desire to connect with Him.

Prayer: Lord, no matter what I am going through today, I still desire to connect with You. Amen.

What do you appreciate most when you are in a group of believers?
