At the end we had to guess who we thought the murderer was.

Explore: I recently played a role-playing murder game with a group of colleagues. We were all allocated characters and told of a murder that had occurred. We were then handed pieces of paper outlining our backstory in relation to the victim.
It took us a little while to get our heads around all the different characters, but then we all kicked into gear with our questioning and investigations. At the end we had to guess who we thought the murderer was.
There were two negatives to the results:
1. I got it wrong
2. I was the murderer!!
It seemed I had killed the man who had wronged me and I didn’t even realise it – haha!
Application: This is not what generally happens in real life. In reality we are well aware of our behaviour and we are in control of what we do.
God is also well aware of our behaviour. He knows our comings and our goings.
While He certainly knows what would be best for us to do, He leaves the choices up to us. This also means, however, that the consequences of our behaviour are left with us too.
May we be clear with the decisions we make, knowing nothing is done in secret, and that God examines all our paths.
Prayer: Lord, I invite you into my whole life. Guide me in Your ways and help me to consider the path I choose. Amen.
What path are you considering?
