When you are so committed to your job it’s hard not to question yourself and your faith when that position falls apart.

Explore: A friend of mine has just lost his job. He had been at the company for ten years and the leadership have just made him redundant.
It was a messy proceedings and a great deal of hurt and pain has been endured. Having been through a somewhat similar experience, my heart goes out to my friend who is suffering so much grief.
You see, this job was not just a pay packet for my mate. He felt he gave his whole heart to his work and invested a great deal of time and effort to it.
Not only that but the people that he worked with have become his friends, his confidants and his support. But now all that has been lost to him as well.
I know that people say that you shouldn’t hang your identity off the work but when you are so committed to a job that you feel God has opened up for you, it’s hard not to question yourself and your faith when that position falls apart.
Application: On this Good Friday we remember the death of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus. On this day we remember the pain and suffering Jesus experienced and the separation He felt from everyone He knew and loved.
While I hope never to go through anything like Jesus experienced, it is true that we experience death even though we live.
It may be the death of a job, like my friend, or the death of a loved one. It may be the death of a relationship or the death of an idea. Each time we experience these endings it brings pain and suffering in different ways.
Our God is a God of life and love. He doesn’t not intend to bring pain or suffering. But when they do happen in our life, He can look back on Good Friday and understand what we are going through.
Good Friday is a dark day in our history when we remember our innocent Saviour crucified. And it’s also a reminder that this same Saviour loves us unconditionally and understands the pain we also endure.
Prayer: Lord, Your sacrifice is greater than anyone can imagine. May we call on You when we endure such pain and grief and never forget the love that you have shown to all humanity. Amen.
When have you experienced a death in your life?

It also happened to me recently… last March 3 2016 and I felt and experienced the betrayal not only from my co-workers but also from the VP, Directors and my Manager….
They knew my passion and dedication on my job, position and my sincere concern to the company… but then…
I know it hard to accept… but GOD has a plan and I claim it coz as HE promise… HE WHO BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN YOU, HE IS FAITHFUL TO COMPLETE IT… HE WILL MAKE A WAY… AMEN
