Reference: for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented. (Psalm 106:45 NIV)
Explore: They say it’s often those you love who hurt you the most.
I guess it is those people you spend the most time with and also they are the ones you invest in more. Therefore, they have more opportunity to hurt you.
But these are also the ones whom you are more likely to forgive. They are more significant than acquaintances and more important than colleagues.
These are the ones you would take a bullet for, the ones you always go the extra mile for. They have brought you love, even with the pain, so you strive to forgive them to make things right again.
Application: Jesus lived on earth so He can understand what life is like for us. But God experienced the trials of people long before Jesus was placed in a manger.
He knows the pain of rejection, and yet, He showed us over and over again the importance of keeping His covenant and showing forgiveness. If even God felt this pain, we are bound to struggle with it too.

Prayer: Lord, give me the strength to love and forgive. Amen.
Who do you need to show an extra amount of love to today?
