Double Rainbow

It seemed ridiculous that someone would go on so much about two rainbows

Job 37:1-24

Reference: v. 23 The Almighty is beyond our reach and exalted in power;
in his justice and great righteousness, he does not oppress. (TNIV Bible)

Explore:  There was recently a Youtube clip, that went viral, of an American gentleman who was out in nature and saw two rainbows in the sky.  While the only vision in the clip was of the two rainbows you couldn't help but to be amused at the response of Bear, who was doing the filming.  He was so in awe of the display of nature before him that he couldn't help but declare over and over again, ‘Oh my God… it's a double rainbow… it's so intense… what does it mean?'

Application:  This video was made into a song and has been across many group email mail-out and Facebook page.  It seemed ridiculous that someone would go on so much about two rainbows in the sky and people thought Bear's response was hilarious.  However I must admit, that there are times when I notice something of God's beautiful creation that renders me lost for words.  I may not capture these moments on film for all to see, however I think Bear highlights the impact God's amazing creativity can have on us.  So often we just walk on by these amazing displays.  While I'm not one to express myself quite like Bear, I think he highlights how amazing our world can be if we just stop and allow it to sink in.

Prayer:  Lord, even though I am busy in life its great to stop and allow your creation to sink in.  You are so powerful, so creative and so magnificent that we would never be able to capture Your wonder in one video clip.  Help us to take the time to notice Your presence all around us.  Amen.

What is the most beautiful thing you have seen lately?
