I feel like that special bond connects us all
Reference: “All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you.” Psalm 145:10 NIV
Explore: I love going to Christian conferences. It’s the one place that I feel we’re all on the same page.
I walk around knowing that, while we are all different, we all love the same gracious God. I feel like that special bond connects us all together, even if we don’t know everyone present.
It makes me smile at everyone and I’m more likely to help strangers as I already know we have something in common. We are all there to praise God and get to know Him more.
Application: And yet, I shouldn’t just reserve this friendliness for other Christians. It feels safer to do so, but at any good Christian conference you will be encouraged to share that love with people outside your faith network.
It’s easier to help others when you have a better understanding of the response you are likely to get, but that’s not where our actions should start and finish. It’s the act of kindness to a complete stranger where the glory of God can really be revealed in us.
Prayer: Lord, may we declare Your praise every single day. In all situations we find ourselves in, may we declare Your love and grace. Amen.
When do you find it most challenging to be Christlike to others?
