Christmas Time

Extra shopping, roast turkey, ripe cherries, Christmas carols, Summer holidays, mince pies… there are so many things that connect me to Christmas in Australia.

Now that Facebook groups comment according to word themes, it is no surprise that every day there is a whole list of Christmas status updates, and the group is growing every day.

Some of my favourite Christmas videos that I’ve found through Facebook are The Digital Story of the Nativity and The Christmas Story.  While neither of these videos are theologically perfect, it’s great to bring the true meaning of Christmas into our technological world.

Whatever your Christmas may hold this year, I pray it’s one filled with love and peace, just like the real Christmas was intended for. May we have some time to focus, not just on the presents and the food, but on the amazing love of our God who gave us the ultimate gift, His Son.

God Bless. Linda.
