Blessed Relationships

The relationship I built with my parents has endured through all seasons in my life.

Psalm 128:1-6

Reference: “Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.” Psalm‬ ‭128:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Explore: I was always a fairly well behaved child. It wasn’t really in my nature to take risks and push boundaries.

I also appreciated the respect and trust I gained from being obedient. The relationship I built with my parents has endured through all seasons in my life.

I feel that having that stable relationship with them throughout my whole life was a blessing. It meant that through all the ups and downs I knew their love and acceptance.

Even though I wasn’t perfect, the basis of our relationship was strong and consistent.

Application: This was a great example of what God’s love is. He is always there for me, no matter what season I am going through.

Even if your upbringing was different to mine, God’s unconditional love is the one constant we can always rely on. Just like my parents, He loves it when we are obedient to Him as He knows that is the best place for us to be.

However, when we wander or stumble, God is still the constant presence we can come back to.  He brings us blessing when we return to Him.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your constant and never-ending love. May we seek to gain Your blessing in our lives. Amen.

When have you had to return to God’s unconditional love?
