He will often use longer adult words that sound so adorable in his little six year old voice.
Reference: “Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; but whoever rejects me rejects him who sent me.” (Luke 10:16 NIV)
Explore: Our youngest boy seems to soak up words he hears. He will often use longer adult words that sound so adorable in his little six year old voice.
“That looks so lovely” is a common phrase he now uses as he has heard other adults in his life say it. He doesn’t say it often, but when he does it’s hard not to chuckle.
Unfortunately, there have been words he has heard in his past that little boys should never hear. When those words come out it reminds me of his past and that we still have some work to do.
Application: People reflect the words and actions they have been shown. The Bible reminds us that people will know we are Christians by our love, by our Godly actions.
Depending on how people respond to that is how they respond to Christ. If we can reflect Him in what we say or do we are giving our neighbours the opportunity to interact with Jesus.
This can be challenging and even lead to rejection, but it’s better to be rejected for our Godly actions rather than accepted for our worldly ones.
Prayer: Lord, help me to reflect You in how I live today. Amen.
How can You show your neighbours you are a follower of Christ?
