Now I have been there, nothing else compares
Reference: I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. (Psalm 63:5 NIV)
Explore: I have found the best Indian food in all of Melbourne! I love most food, but if I had to think of my favourite cuisine, I would have to go with Indian.
Therefore, I have visited many Indian restaurants, tasting their wares. I thought I had found my favourite place, but then I went to Palms. Their array of South and North Indian food is fabulous and their flavours are out of this world!
Now I have been there, nothing else compares! Whenever I get the chance to choose where we should eat, I’ll always choose Palms. And if anyone is to ask me about a good restaurant, I will always tell them about my favourite Indian restaurant.
Application: I’ve only known about this restaurant for about five months, but I think I have told nearly 20 of my friends about it. Psalm 63:5 has challenged me, though, about where I put my priorities. Have I told 20 people in the last five months how good God is?
While this Indian restaurant is the best I’ve ever been to, there is no doubt God satisfies me more than a great butter chicken! Despite this, I often hold back from telling others how good God is.
I’m not ashamed to tell someone that I’ve indulged in a table full of Indian cuisine, and so, I’m also inspired by this psalm to proclaim loudly the glory of my awesome God.
Prayer: Lord, you are my support and my driving force. May I declare it from the mountain tops, how great You are. Amen.
How can you proclaim God’s goodness today?
