Again, Again
If the boys had their way, I would be playing hide and seek from when they wake up until they go to sleep

Explore: Children love the most simple games. My young boys love hide and seek. I will count to 10 while they run and hide and then I’ll go in search of them.
As they are still quite young, their hiding places are not great. They also get bored of waiting, and so, I will quickly discover where they are. I try to extend the game by pretending not to see them and looking in lots of other hiding places before coming to their spot and proclaiming, “There you are!”
No sooner have I found the boys than they’ll shout out with big smiles, “Again, again!” And the game will repeat itself.

Application: It seems that the followers of Jesus were just as persistent in asking Him questions, as my boys are about playing hide and seek.
Wherever Jesus went He seemed to have crowds of people following Him. And while they all had different questions there is a consistent theme to Jesus’ answers.
His response back to them was to love again and again.
There is no record of Jesus meeting someone and saying, “Wow, you love way too much. Slow down on the loving because you’re just doing too much good.” No, He always had to remind the people and His disciples, to show greater love.
As we go through life we have a lot of questions for Jesus too. However, His response will have the same theme as He gave when He walked on this earth.
Love… again and again, from when you wake up until you go to sleep.
Prayer: Lord, You show us love again and again and yet we still need reminding. May we show love to every single person we meet today. Amen.
