A Life Changed Forever

In less than 10 minutes her sight had been restored

John 9:1-12

Reference: “As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.” ‭John‬ ‭9:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Explore: I can’t believe that today of all days I read the beginning of John 9.
Just this morning I stood in an operating theatre, in the outer regions of Vietnam, and witnessed a Miracle of sight.
Hoa had been blinded by cataract for over 2 years. She couldn’t work; couldn’t care for her grandchildren; she couldn’t even see her children’s faces.
And yet an operation that took less than 10 minutes had the cataract removed and her sight restored. For someone living in poverty, that truly is a Miracle!
Application: We follow an incredible God. Jesus showed us time and time again how important it was for us to help people live to their fullest.
You may not be able to restore sight, you may not even be able to experience someone having sight restored like I did today, but we all have the ability to help others live to their best.
We are all loved children of God, and so we need to start treating others like brothers and sisters and helping them be all that God has created them to be.
Let’s look for opportunities today to build people up to their greatest potential. It’s what Jesus showed us to do time and time again.
Prayer: Lord, You have given us life. May we help others to live for You too. Amen.
How can you help someone to live to their potential today?
