In the lead up to Christmas the shops are crazy. Every checkout has long queues, there are people everywhere and everything you need to buy is never on sale!
The place that is worse, however, is the car park. People are rarely happy in the car park at Christmas.
You can spend what feels like hours driving around and around, behind ten other cars, all looking for the one car park. And just when you think you’ve found one you realise it’s just a small car parked all the way in!
The shopping centre car park is the least Christmassy place on earth!
At Christmas we celebrate Jesus coming to earth to bring peace, love and grace to all people. From my experience, there’s not a lot of that in a busy car park!
But maybe that’s our challenge this Christmas. If you really want to celebrate Christmas then it’s all about bringing peace, love and grace into your world.
Whether you are at the shops, at work or at home with the family, let’s all try to bring these true elements of Christmas into our lives.
