My People

We confide in each other, support each other and laugh a lot.

Exodus 7:1-25

Reference: “Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.” Exodus‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Explore: My greatest companion in life is Cameron. We committed our lives to each other nearly fifteen years ago and have worked side by side to love each other, raise a family, earn a living and serve our Lord.

Outside of this, my greatest friend is Anna. We text each other nearly every day, we confide in each other, support each other and laugh a lot.

My greatest supporter is my mother. She has spent her life helping me to be the best I can be, whether that was as a student, as a minister, as a wife and now as a mother.

I could go on. There are so many amazing people I’m blessed to do life alongside, who help me to be a better person and who give me opportunities to learn and serve.

Application: We were not built to do life alone. Working alongside other people helps to make us better as well as to achieve more.

Moses and Aaron were great examples of working together as a team. I know that Moses gets most of the cred for the whole “let my people go” situation, but Aaron was right there next to him the whole way.

God blesses us greatly with the people He brings into our lives. These relationships are not always easy but they help us to grow and to serve God.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the people You have brought into my life. May I add to other people’s lives so that we can all work together to serve and honour You. Amen.

Who are the people God has brought into your life?
