Morning Shower or Night Shower?
I always used to shower in the morning. I’d go for a walk or run and when I came back I’d shower and then get ready for the day.
Now I don’t get up for exercise. My nine month old wakes me and I run after him most days until he goes to bed.
So now I shower at night, when I finally get a moment to myself.
My husband showers in the morning. It’s part of his daily routine and he hates to miss his morning shower.
My friend Dez is Malaysian and he always showers at night. He can’t understand how people could go to bed with the dirt of the day still on them.
I guess it doesn’t really matter if you have a shower in the morning, at night or in the middle of the day. All that matters is that you have a shower. It’s noticeable if you don’t.
This is the same when it comes to spending time with God. Some people will do it right at the start of the day. This helps them to start the day well and they don’t get distracted from having their quiet time.
Others like to wrap up the day with God in mind. No matter what has happened over the day, some like to finish the day laying it all before God.
Again, it doesn’t matter if you have your quiet time at the start of the day, the end of the day or somewhere in between. God is always there for you and it’s noticeable if you stop spending time with Him.
Lord, thank You for always being there for us. May we never stop connecting with You. Amen.
When do you spend time with God?
