Just because we all die it does not mean that marvellous and miraculous things can not happen while we are still alive.

Explore: There is one thing in life that is certain, and that is death. No human has yet defied death and I don't believe that it is our intention to while on this earth. But just because we all die it does not mean that marvellous and miraculous things can not happen while we are still alive. Through the power of God people can still be healed, even though they die. That may sound crazy, but let me explain. There is more than just one kind of healing. Humans are such physical beings that we think our healing can only be on the outside, however healings can also impact our inner being as well.
Application: When Jesus walked on this earth 2000 years ago he performed many healings in God's name. People were brought back to life, the lame walked, the lepers were made whole, the blind could see. And yet his greatest healing came through his forgiveness of sins and the healing he did to people's inner well-being. In Mark 5 we read of a lady who had been subject to bleeding for 12 years. She had been to many doctors and tried many things but never been cured. She just touches the edge of Jesus' clothing and she is instantly healed. But Jesus seeks her out. She comes trembling with fear, not knowing what He will say to her. I believe his words give her a secondary healing. He tells her to go in peace and be freed from her suffering. Now, physically she had already been healed of her bleeding just by touching his clothes and yet he heals her again from her suffering. Although physically healed she came to Jesus with shame and fear. When she left Jesus she went with peace and freedom. God can heal us physically but also emotionally and spiritually. That is great freedom.
Prayer: Lord, we often look to that which we can see. Help us to look beyond the tangible and see Your power through all things. Amen.
Do you have an emotional ailment holding you back? Have you thought about praying for healing?
